Well Big Griggs and I waded out on the slush deck to play with the planters today and so far we're getting schooled not a bite and we're showing fish on the graph all morning but they don't seem to want to eat. Anyone have a suggestion? The runoff has made a 6 foot gap around the edges so bring your plank. Later J

That's the report I was waiting for, thank you. Were you by the dam or beach area?

I was wondering if you guys were going to go for it. Alas- must work[:/]. But TOMORROW! guess I'd better get a plank! 6ft huh?! Where did you get on? Boat or beach area?

Trout won't bite? That's a surprise. Did you spray your WD-40? Got Powerbait? Marshmallows?

Last week we had em hitting both waxworms and mealies. I was mostly using a horizontal presentation - little perch pattern, or a green-ratfinkie. They were liking a little glow gizzy bug. I'd jig, then deadstick, or slow jig - couldn't keep 'em off.

Maybe you found the perch, and they're just being tightlipped? (or super subtle). Got spring bobbers?

Wish I was there - I'd just show ya, it'd be easier!

what - the report where he tells ya they're getting skunked! Again! Or where you'll need a big long plank to get on!

Wonder what a foot or two of new snow will do to us?

So - Jeff - ya gotta catch one so you can watch it swim on TOP of the ice! And take some of those cool photos that make it look like you're walking on water!
Lava we took off from the swim beach and I found a couple logs that just verily reached the ice. They have been sawing ice all morning at the boat ramp I guess the polar plunge is tomorrow. We have drilled holes and are letting a lot of water off the top of the ice hope it's not so wet tomorrow. Later J

Yote not a good day on Hyrum we've tried most of the ratfinkie gizzybug routine. I don't have any WD 40 but we did try some powerbait fish keep swimming by but no takers. Think I'll try your marshmallow but I'm about to give up Skunked Again. Later. J

Hey bud, you're using a spring bobber, correct?

I guess if all else fails, you could use a TieDie Crawler, make sure it's the garden variety.

How much water on top of the ice? That is what I don't want to deal with. I can deal with the edges. After all, last year, I did take a canoe to get out on Newton. [Wink]

It was from none to two inches and getting better by the hour. Good luck I'm going to Bear Lake tomorrow. Later J

Sorry don't know what happened to my reply it never showed up. But we did have spring bobbers but no crawlers. Guess it's just my skill level showing up again. However there was several other groups there today that had had the same luck we did. Tried a couple other honey holes on the way home but maintained my skunk. Later J
