Hey made our trip and back already. Slow day on cisco beach my brother got two cisco the rest of us just got a frozen skunk today. Roads were a little hairy over top with very low visibility but that had improved a bunch on the way home. Found one patch of black ice around Preston Valley campground that just about put me into the guardrail but was a good warning to slow down. Made the rest of the trip just fine. One last thing we found someones dentures there and turned them into the fish and game warming tent. Didn't notice the BFT event tent until we were on the way home looked like they had drawn a crowd. Must have been for food I know it wasn't for Cisco. Later J

Thanks for update, I decided to wait for the storms to leave before I go up. I'm thinking Tuesday or Wednsday. I will be watching the weather and Bear Lake reports closely.

Wiperslayer, Realfast and I were up there today as well. BLFG was nice enough to let us hang the BFT banner at the table where the Cisco Disco was being held. You really should have stopped by and checked it out, they had deep fried cisco, scones and fries, yum. We did not catch any cisco there, so we decided to go over to the state parks marina. Several people caught there limits there and one scout troop had caught over 300. We gave it a try and after moving around several times found a spot that had cisco coming through enough for us to catch 24 or 25. There are alot more cisco at the state park marina then any where on the East side. We drove the Evanston route and found the roads in good shape going up and even better shape going back until we got to Randolph. We stopped there to fish in the pond a little out of town. Getting on the ice was a little tough because the water level is rising but once on the ice we found it was at least 24 inches thick. We stayed there for 2 hours and caught 14 nice bows. It was snowing pretty heavy at times and when we went to leave the roads to Evanston were much worse but we made it safely back after dark. All in all not a bad day but on our next trip there we were dip for cisco at the state parks marina, I really think if we had gone there the first thing in the morning, we could have caught three limits instead of less than one. We saw another BFT member there, can't remember the spelling of his new user name but he use to go by BearlakeMack. Good to see you again Rich.
