As of last thursday the lake was open from twin creeks north to Joe Bush. My good friend called the lodge and talked to someone there. South of twin creeks is froze and about 8" of ice that was very clear and slick.

I was there for 4 days last week. Saturday got about 18" of snow. Fishing was fair. As was mentioned earlier, it is open water on over half the lake. Covered most of the lake that was frozen with 30 guys in our party and all seemed to have about the same success. Ice was safe, but did find a soft spot at Doctor creek. Be careful.

where is doctor creek so i will know where to avoid but the cold nights hopefully will help thanks again

Was there also approximately 18" of snow on the ice after Saturday's storm?

Doctor Creek is the first parking lot you come to . It has a large green dumpster at the turn off. I don't think they normally plow it , so after this snow you may not be able to access it.

Yes. It was also very windy. There were drifts by our trucks about 4' deep. It may have redistributed it on the ice, but there was at least 18" on the ice.

Any more current reports. Is slush a problem?
[signature]
Good to see ya got out, how was the fishing for your group.
[signature]
How was the slush?..Where did the sleds go threw?
[signature]
We did ok. 5-10 fish per person per day. Alot of wind , but no slush when we were there. The snowmobile went in at Doctor Creek, right near the access everyone was using. We didn't lose anything and continued on to fish. Ice was 10-14" everywhere we fished. Could have done better, but all of the spots we usually go to were open water this year.

I sure hope that there is also no slush there tomorrow. I hate fishing in slush.
