I dropped in at chesterfield for a while sunday. The edges are a little soft but there is a good 18-20 inches of ice just out from the boat ramp. Fishing all around was pretty slow and if ya did get a bite it was a small planter. I didnt see anyone pull out anything over 12-14 inches. Now all i have to do is decide where to try this sunday!

How much snow is on the ice?

There is about and inch or so of snow but its hard packed and wind blown. I would imagine there is a little more after last nights storm though.

Hell, you got lucky. There was a car that tried to drive through early saturday morning in front of us and hydrolocked his engine. I assuming that car is trash now. When we left to come home they had advisory signs so we kept going through and ran into "road closed" so we had to turn around and go through Bancroft.

When i went up sunday the roads were icy from lava on in. There wasn't any water on the roads at all and no signs either, we must have lucked out. I did however rip the muffler off my accord on the reservior road because of some snow drifts. A small price to pay for a good fishing trip!
