Minnetonka, MN-Ranger and Stratos Boats are continuing their partnership with the Cabela's Masters Walleye Circuit and North American Bass Circuit, renewing sponsorships with both trails for the 2012 tournament season.
"We're fortunate to work with some of the best organizations in the industry," said Bart Schad, Vice President of Marketing for Fishing Holdings, LLC (manufacturer of Ranger and Stratos Boats). "To partner with the MWC and NABC is a natural fit for us. We're excited for the opportunity to reach so many passionate anglers across the country."
Ranger Boats joined the MWC family back in 1993, and the phrase "Don't be a stranger, drive a Ranger" has echoed across the Circuit's stage ever since. When the North American Bass Circuit launched in 2011, both Ranger and Stratos signed on to support its inaugural season.
"Our anglers and staff are proud to continue this historic partnership," added Cabela's MWC and NABC Executive Director Dan Johnson. "From the Great Lakes to big rivers and High Plains impoundments, Ranger and Stratos Boats have proven themselves in our tournaments as second to none as high-performance fishing platforms."
As a testament to Ranger's unmatched fishability, their boats were instrumental in five victories and numerous top 10 finishes at all Cabela's MWC tournaments, along with wins at all four NABC events during the 2011 season-including top honors in both Circuit's World Championships.
As part of its support, Ranger offers Cabela's MWC and NABC anglers a $1,000 Ranger Cup contingency at each tournament, while Stratos extends its Stratos 2X "Double Your Winnings" Incentive Program on the NABC.
Since 1968, when Forrest L. Wood's first six boats rolled out of a makeshift facility in Flippin, Arkansas-each one dedicated to the legendary "Ranger" spirit of the U.S. Army and Texas lawmen-the company has crafted cutting-edge fishing boats known worldwide for performance and reliability. Founded in 1984, the Cabela's MWC is the oldest team tournament circuit in the walleye world. It has a rich history of intense competition on top destinations, plus youth outreach and a lasting legacy of conservation that includes more than $300,000 in donations to fisheries projects in states where its tournaments are held. The NABC was added in 2011 to offer the tour's proven team format to bass fans. Open to diehard teams from all walks of life, the 2012 Cabela's MWC and NABC trails includes a total of 13 qualifiers spread across six states from Colorado to Ohio. Teams showcase their skills-and sponsor products-at world-class venues such as the Detroit, Illinois, Mississippi and St. Mary's rivers, plus Lake Erie, Mille Lacs, Leech, Winnebago, Oahe and more.
Along with the experiential marketing opportunities of personally reaching thousands of ultra-avid walleye anglers and fans along the trail, Ranger and Stratos Boats, along with other sponsors, tap the marketing power of the circuits' parent company, North American Media Group. Brand-building assets available to sponsors include the 3.2 million readers of North American Fisherman magazine, 500,000 members of the North American Fishing Club, 160,000 e-newsletter subscribers, 50,000 Facebook fans, and national television exposure through MWC TV on NBC Sports.
