fished today from 12 to 500. it was really slow landed 3 water was really chocolatey from all the runoff ice was a good 14 inches thick, edges were not in very good shape from the rising water. orange and yellow jigs were about the only thing that caught fish.

It was a surprise went up there figuring it would be a good ride as its been so warm the ice would be a mess. but it all worked out someone had left an old plank and it was only 5 or so feet to good solid ice. Now if it will just get cold again and stop the inflow of muddy water.

Dang Flys...

I fished Sat till about 3:00 at Goose Creek and did real well... Mostly catch and release hooked and landed 12 or 13.. Kept 2 for the pot.... All were footballs... I was the farthest west on Trapper Creek. Fished from about 8:00 till 3:00. Your right when the water color darkened the bite went off.. We did so well we went out Sun. wind was tough and the fishing had slowed a bit. Your dead on, on the ice conditions

Thats pretty good day of fishing, I wish i would have went over to the trapper creek end. I didn't figure there would be thick enough ice. I did hear the bank fishing over there on the open water Saturday was good and elbow to elbow. maybe i will make a plan over there this coming weekend thanks for the info

Were you on the south end.... If so how was the road in. I would like to try it but I'm not familiar with that end
