Hi, I need help with the prop size on the teeny torpedo,if you can tell me the prop sizes for the tiny and baby model,I'd appreciate that as well.Thing is, I like to run blades at the front along with the stock one at rear,I counter rotate the blades so the lure swims without spinning, plus more noise.[#4040ff]FL. mod[/#4040ff] Paulpro tip![shocked]

Thanks Dave and congrats on that day out on the ice.Dave,I normally buy two torpedos and take off the blade and add it to the front of the other.I saw the props just not sure what the size is,I would like to by props for the torpedos, teeny torpedo especially, would that be the smallest prop?I'm not sure if they make them smaller,I'll wait a bit more if not I'll buy all three sizes,I might get from Barlows tackle,is that a safe place you think to order from.I couldn't get much contact info for them, they did have some props they have for lures.P.S.I usually keep the props facing the same direction, but I bend the blades the opposite way so they counter rotate, lure runs good,no spinning hardly.Stay safe on that ice,man that was one cold bass you caught, did she even jump as you got her up[Image: happy.gif]

if you have a way of printing the charts, you can lay the prop right on the pic and have an acurate measurment.

I am going to print and laminate me a set of those for my self. they are great to have on your workbench wall.

Dave ,hi,is it safe to guess the smallest prop on the chart is the correct size for the teeny torpedo?.I understand they make some for fly fishing,I wouldn't want it to be too small either. For now I will stick to a single prop, later I will upgrade. At the moment I have a couple lures with no prop which I had removed for the double prop technique.[fishin]

Michigan has a rule for its lure restrictions in fly fishing only areas..

Flies are not allowed to have beads or spinners or props... Just an FYI..

to answer your question, I can only guess the answer is yes.. with out refering to the chart.

I got my order after all,I found the right blade,I got the 5/8,it worked fine, the whole in the blade was a bit small, just worked it a bit,I set it up with dual props, one at front one at backl, each conter rotating, you should hear the noise from this little lure.

Dave, stay safe on that ice[fishin] Paulpro.P.S.I also orderd some rib lizzards, and some 6" hook tail worms,I got a good deal in bulk,$13 for 100 lizzards, and 9 for 100ct on the worms, zoom would not sell me in bulk[Image: angry.gif],I used Barlows tackle

I dont know either of the two sites you mention.
Dave Hi,I did recieve my order from barlows, its great, they have things in bulk too ,I got the props as well, they are the 5/8.Only thing I had to work the hole a bit bigger for the prop, other than that I used a razorblade to remove a tiny bit of material from the nose of the torpedo, this way I can get all the threads I can. I put a prop at the front counter spinning the one at the back,I recommend glue for the threads,I used a bit of tephlon tape on the threads

Boy you should hear the noise comming from this small lure, missed a huge peacock bass with it,Im kinda glad cause I was only using my 4lb at the time.I have two of these lures did the same to each.Test which side of the prop works best.P.S.I found 6"hooktailworms in bulk, also 4" rib lizzards, been doing great with each, got 100ct of each, good price. one color for lizzard green, and I got a black worm with an putside coating of red[Image: confused.gif] Paulpro tip,I like to use them on light line no more than 10lb and a 1/32 ounce bullet weight with a 1/0 worm hook, mostly I run them it on the surface or let them sink.

God Bless America[fishin]

Dave I made a vid of the teeny torpedo with dual props, noisy little lure[Smile]. 2nd cast I had a loop in my line [Image: sad.gif] [url "http://youtu.be/fWIR8Qr_OAc"]http://youtu.be/fWIR8Qr_OAc[/url]

I ran it quick to make more noise. The Lukinani here take a good liking to this lure, caught some today, but small ones with this lure.Lost one lure today[Image: beaten.gif],its a good thing I use the nasa system[Image: bobwink.gif]

Dave.Listen its my final post to this thread.I lost my second torpedo I modded.I only had my rods with the 10lb and one in 4lb.I used it on my 4lb and a bass took my lure.I had my fingers crossed hoping the bass would spit it in the boat, but its gone now.I only got this picture of it with a bass it caught ,on my b-day.Take care

tought luck for sure, but on the upside, it is good to know the fish are taking them and not rotting in the bottom of your box.

you may want to make a few more.

that is deffenantly a big lure for a 4lb test line.

I had a couple of those when I was a kid, I never caught anything with them, well to say I tried it a few cast and put it back in the box, Then my box got sold in a garage sale on me.... I lost a one in of a kind lure that worked great, sorry I cant tell you what it was, it has never hit the market. It was made by a lure designer just before he passed, wished I still had it.

I see..some lures come and go just like fish.Dave,by the way this torpedo im using is the smallest, there are 4 incloding the "tiny torpedo".Same as in the picture with my lures.P.S.I used the teeny torpodo in the glades, thats the next size up.I once caught a 5 lb bass with it.Still remember that day as the bass came for my lure from up under some lillies.[Smile].Then there is the baby torpedo and the the magnum.
