Took the day off and went up to Tims to try and catch some smallies.. Put in at the state park and headed up into hurricane creek. caught my first smallie on a black and purple jig with a blue chunk for a trailer in abou 12' of water on big rock bank... Rain poured down all day long... tried throwin red cranks and shakey heads with no results.. finally got desperate and tied on a smoke colored grub... that was good for two more small ones... Not a good day for numbers but i enjoyed the solitude.... water was anywhere from 49 to 51... not a easy lake to fish for me but I like the challenge.
