Finished my day up with work early so I headed for the lake for a four hour afternoon outing. I had hoped to expand on what Colby and I found this past Saturday and it worked like a charm. The one thing I thought weird about today was this past Saturday the best bait was a spinner bait. Today they would not touch it. emoScratch It was not as overcast and was not raining...maybe that was the difference. They were more shallow today also. I caught all my fish in skinny water, from about 3.5 feet to 11 feet. In the four hours I put 13 large mouths, one spot and a channel cat in the boat. emoThumbsup My best five were 4 lbs 1 oz, 3/13, 3/1, 2/14 and 2/11 for a nice total of 16 lbs and 9 ozes. I also had two others I weighed that both hit the scale at 2/9. The rest I did not weigh.<br /><br />I caught all the bass and one cat on four baits. A shakey, a jerk, a crank and a silver buddy. I also lost two others that felt like good ones and missed a couple more. Not a bad outing at all for only four hours. I could get use to these 50 plus degree February days. emoDance I threw that dang TN for a while again today and as my luck is still having it...not one dang fish hit it. emoBadLanguage I hate that thing. Maybe one day someone will show me how to catch fish on it. I am about ready to throw it into the lake without a line tied on.<br /><br />This week is suppose to be a little cooler but those bass are not deep as in years past. It is surprising where they are and how shallow they are. Most of them today looked like footballs. Need to get up to the G this weekend to pre fish for the CFF.<br /><br />C-ya on the water..... emoAngler Jmax
