Got a chance to run up and fish. Fished from 9 to 1:30 hooked a bunch but only put 12 on the ice. Edges were a little weak but still a good 7 to 8 inches. No pics but here is a little video. first time i have used it and the new software so please bear with me [

Great video! That sure frustrates me when they pop off on the edge of the ice like that, especially when it's a good one.

I like the editing. If they fall off before you touch them, that is a bonus.
Way nice! Quite, the sit up.

Cool video and a nice report. I much prefer the video reports!
Looks like you got you some IKAM glasses? Where did you get them? I've been eyeballing them for a while. I'm about a month away from ordering some. PM if you prefer. Thanks.

Great fun! That ice looks slick.

Great video! I'm glad I'm not the only one that has them come off right at the hole... I also never realized how barren that area is down there. Glad the fishing kept you busy!

actually its a gopro hero 2 Seems like a good little unit and waterproof to 200 foot best buy has them. there pretty easy to use but its a little tough to find editing software as they record in MPEG4 format and older computers running xp dont like it.

It was a blast fish had me running everywhere. It wasnt to bad a bought some of those cheap Ht traction cleats and they really work pretty good

thanks, yea Oakley and salmon dam seem like they should be in the middle of the desert and they get real warm in the summer no shade anywhere

Cool camera. Never heard of that one. What mounting device were you using? The chest mount?
[signature]
It came with a helmet mount and a headband and that's the one i have used so far. For the under water shots i just used a Fiberglas electric fence pole and atached the camera to it along with an 80 pound dacron tether tied to the sled cause im clumsy lol In some other footage you could make out some fish swimming around but couldn't quite tell what it was but looked perchish or maybe small walleye

I've put one on my list! That thing is awesome. I think I'll cancel the IKAM, which had mixed reviews. I want to research the gopro some more. Do you know if you can attach external microphones, preferably wireless?
[signature]
Yes you can but you have to use the holding case that's not waterproof for the external mic It comes with a watertight case and a skelontized door so you can use the mic and other attachments. there releasing a wifi version real soon that will have Bluetooth capability you will also be able to remote turn on

we fished it again sat and had 3 hookups but none iced. seen 4 fish caught in the groups next to us but fishing was pretty slow most of the day for everyone except one group on the far side of the bay that did well.
Ice is getting thinner and edges going further out wont be much longer with forcast temps to have a big impact on the ice a lot of holes open or only 1/4 inch of ice in the top of them. On a side note take extra precation if you fish up where the creek coming in one group was up there cutting holes with a chain saw to fish and lifting the chunks out to set poles on and they looked pretty large
