Wanted to hit some different water this weekend, no such luck with all the kids have going on and running me around. Made a quick trip out to Sulphur Creek. Headed out around 11 am, weather was decent with a light dusting of snow. The ice has got even thicker in the last week as it now takes the power auger almost to the head. Fished in 40' of water, bites weren't quite as fast as they have been, but we did land fish fairly steady. Of course they were all slime rockets and every one of them was suspended. Would've been a slow day without the flasher as you had to put the jig on their nose. Didn't catch any huge ones but the kids had fun. With as thick as the ice is it will be around for a while longer.
