I went fishing in the narrows early in the morning. Crappie were biting good until about 930 and then the bite stopped. They were biting on yellow and orange jig heads tipped with a wax worm right off the bottom. Fished in 60 feet of water, ice was 9 inches thick with soft edges. There is a plank though
Nice fish, you coming down straight off the caretaker's side? I guess what I'm asking is if the plank is on the main trail coming down from that parking lot. Glad to hear the ice is still thick, hopefully the edges hold on for a few more weeks.

I parked on the North side and hiked down the trail.

Wow, those look like some nice crappie, how long were they? Not many folks having much success with the cpappie this winter. Were any perch caught? By the way, welcome to the site.
