Went to PV Sunday to check out the ice conditions and fish for perch. Went ot Cemetary Point and fished in 40-50' depth using ice jigs and finkies. Caught all perch on the bottom, a few over 9" mostly 7-81/2". Took home 28. Fishing was hot for an hour then turned off. Ice was at least a foot thick, very slick. Swa lots of other fish above the bottom but couldn't hook up. Saw only (1) crappie taken by person fishing outside of a red ice shanty.

Not a bad day for how PV has been treating people this year.

[cool]Good on ya and glad you got into some fish, do you mind saying if you were on the north or south side of the point, and do you need a plank to get on the ice. Thanks in advance for your help.

Sorry for the late reply. You didn't need anything to get on the ice at Cemetary Point. I was there 2/15/12 on the North side from 0900-1500 all the perch and a couple of 10" crappie were on the bottom and reacted with Jigging. Weather was snowny in the morning and it turned out warm and sunny in the afternoon. Ice was still good on the North side. Fishing was slow. Plan on another trip[ top PV maybe Sunday and may try the Narrows.
