The woman and myself hit up pineview today. Had a late start, at first she wanted to hit up a couple community ponds like Holmes and Adams. But the access to those is ridiculous so I opted to hit PV. Got there around noon. Got on the ice at browning point ( I believe ) some planks that someone left was very nice. Fished like 300 yards or so away from the point we got on the ice. Drilled some holes. Notta, moved around for a little bit until I got some nibbles. Pulled up a little perch from the depths, the woman then joined me. She also caught a little perch from the depths but that was all that was to be. Fished until 4:30, then decided to leave. On the way out I fell through the ice getting off. So be careful! Edges are very weak. Was fine when we first got there but as the day wore on it got very warm and the edge suffered for it. Good luck out there!

Yea, the catching has been slow at the view, at least you caught a couple. How deep was the water where you went through?

I don't have a fish finder just yet, but based on how many cranks it took to get back up I would say around 40 to 50 feet. I really need to get a flasher for ice fishing. Would help a ton

Wow that is scary, I thought you ment you went through the ice as you were leaving[:/]? I figured you weren't more than a few feet from shore.

Oh, I misunderstood you. haha. I went in just above my knees. So not too bad, but enough to water log my phone, feet and pride. [Image: scaredworried.gif]

Based on the statement of being 300 yards out from the point and guessing at 40-45' you might not need a sonar[Wink] Not sure exactly where you were but I would say 42' deep, seems like it stays pretty close to that depth all over out there. My buddy went knee deep in the drink coming off last time too, are the planks not there anymore? I forgot who but a BFT member said he put them there and that guy is aces in my book.

How did the ice look at Holmes? Was anyone fishing it?

Thanks
