Want to head up and hit Charlston Friday morning. Did anyone fish it Thursday that can provide an updated ice condition. I looked on the DC camera and seen a few groups ice fishing on the south west side of the island and others more out toward the middle. If the ice is safe there is it safe to assume it is also safe at Charlston?

Anyone that was on Charlston Thursday an ice update would be much appreciated. We are traveling from a ways out and really want to hit it finally this year.

i was at the island a few days ago and it was 4 iches about everywhere i drilled. rainbow bay is a sketchy 3 inches but charleston has been safest ice on the lake its like 5 or 6 inches. be careful though there have been alot o guys drilling holes out there and they are probobly booby traps now. also someone posted that scuba divers cut a big hole with a chain saw so watch for it. fishing has been great though.

Did anyone ever give a location to where that scuba hole was at? I know someone asked, but not sure I ever seen a response.
