TheGroveBone and I met up today to see if we could bug some fish on the Teton River. I was surprised to catch a healthy and colorful brown. I did not realize there were any brown trout in the Teton.

Was this a fluke or has someone else caught them there before? I guess they could come up from the Snake, but this was upstream of diversion shutoff areas, on the east side of Rexburg.

There's a picture of it on my blog if you're curious.

It's always fun to catch something you weren't expecting. From the pictures it looks like it was a pretty good sized brown. Sweet blog as well.

That's a nice fish. We have caught some pretty big browns on the Teton along with a lot of smaller guys as well. Are you shooting video with one of those head mount cameras? If so, what kind do you have? The quality of video was amazing on my iPhone.

There are certain sections of the tetons that are50/50 with cutts or cuttbows.

That is a beautiful fish!

I have caught a few small browns on the river but it just depends on which section you fish.

I know we always talk about hitting the river together but we need to figure something out so I can de-stress from school!

The cutt is nice, but that brown is a real beauty!

I seem to be asked about what camera I am using quite a bit. It is actually a kodak playsport 2nd Gen. I have made plans for a mount for it but I haven't put it together yet. I need to make it soon because holding a camera to film while playing a fish is a bit tricky and can make for some dizzy viewing!

It's no gopro, but the video quality is good for making youtube videos, and it costs around 120$.

I'm looking into fishing on Monday. I'm still waiting on the green light from the mrs.

Thanks for the compliments. I was pretty surprised at how awesome that fish looked, aside from catching it in the first place.
