Cought well over 30 fish just not size. I did catch 2 perch just over 9 inches and fat! It was a blast! Just want to thank everyone that put it together Jake did a wonderful job I'll be back next year. Hopefully I'll not leave empty handed next year.

Perch - at Hyrum? You're pulling my leg! (now I'm gonna wanna know WHERE on the lake you were - a PM'd be great). Seems like the perch have been pretty absent this year. Had 100 perch days last year, this year I've caught ONE!
Find any trout that even qualified? What was it - 14 inches? How were the edges with the water having risen? I know they talked about providing "bridges" or some such to help folks on/off.
Been wondering when there would be a report on the tourney. Maybe the 'officials' will post the results?
Glad ya got out and got on some fish. And - had a good time it sounds like.
20 inches won and the whole turny was put together really well! I don't know a whole lot about the lake it was my first time even there. I was lucky to find the lake in the dark! The ramps onto the ice were really nice the. Ice was really good 6 inches or more fresh wheeler tracks! To enter a fish it had to be 15 or more! I cought a few just over 14 and a bunch at 13! Really fun place for the kids

Awesome job on the tourney. Not only did they pay out really good on 1 through 11 but he also had some of the best raffle prizes i have ever seen in a ice tourney. He had a vexilar finder, 3 three man quickfishice tents, buddy heaters fenwick ice rods, ugly stick ice rods, sleds, baits, 20 dollar gift cards to sportsmans warehouse. Cant wait for next yr except i hope more people show up, I hear he is even going to do a grande prize for the youth so it should be pretty neat. I bet it fills up pretty fast next yr.

I would live it if the raffle for 16 and younger with fishig poles. then a only few normal prizes. I will be back next year

I cant believe that the one fella won two ice tents and then the other guy won i think three or four fishing poles. Thats just my luck on raffles though, it always seems to be that one or two lucky guys that win over and over and over. Oh well it was a a pretty good tourney especially being the very first tourney he has put on.

This was my first tournament of any kind, so I was a little lost as to how/where the fish were to be measured. It turns out it didn't make any difference. 27 fish caught with the longest being 13". I wish I could have seen the winning fish. I'm sure there are reasons that's not practical, but it would have been cool. I heard people saying how this tourney was better than most they've been to, WAY TO GO GUYS. The guy doing all the talking (presumably Jake) said that he was going to loose $1500 on the day. I sure hope that isn't really coming out of his pocket. I don't know how these things work, but I wouldn't do all the work these folks did for free, let alone give a bunch of guys I don't even know $1500 out of the kindness of my heart. Who knows maybe I'm just an arse hole. Anyway, it was a great introduction to fishing tournaments and now I'm ready for the next one.
I'd really like to get into a Pine View tournament, but I've never heard of one. If you know of one, I'd appreciate a PM.

Thanks for the reports. That's great that the tourney was so well organized. I've never fished one, but sounds like I missed out on this one.
Hope they do have one next year - sure not to miss that! Well done to the winners, and anyone scoring a qualifying fish. (extra bonus for finding perch!!!)
Were the ramps to the ice just for the tournament or were they put there by State Parks? I want to get some scouts out on there this weekend.

The ramps were just for the tourney. I head a DNR guy say that they put them out because the tourney had insurance and that the ramp would be taken down right after the event.
