A buddy and I were planning on fishing FL that day and we usually fish in that area. We will stop by and visit. Let us know more where you will be set up.

And yes, I agree with you that the perch size has improved there. I have noticed this for the previous 2 years as well.

I haven't hit the hard deck this year in Utah, I think I might have to clear my schedule...that means if if the wife says it's ok lol.

Glen, I might be interested too. I've only fished at Fish Lake once, and never through the ice. I have a serious Jones for some nice perch! PV has not treated me good for perch this season. And well, Starvy was Dink City... Although the trout fishing was great! Will see if a friend wants to attend too maybe...

Looks like I'm good to go, I may bring a first-time ice fisherman or two.... if they can manage the kitchen pass.

Okay it's on!!!!!! Anybody and everybody can play. We'll give away prizes for the 3 longest fish. That is measured by 1:00 pm Saturday the 25th. You can fish anywhere you would like on Fish Lake. So don't bring none up from Yuba [Wink] Just a few tips. Perch fishing can be excellant at the moss line in 25-28 feet of water. Alot of times you can find good perch fishing in the moss. It's a little tricky you have to drill a few holes or fish right above the moss. I will be at the south end. On a green 4-wheeler. With a sand dune flag. I will be fishing on the inside of the moss line. The spot that I am talking about is straight north of Lakeside store at the very edge of the ice. We will meet in the parking lot at Lakeside between 12 and 1 pm to measure fish. Look for a grey 4 door dodge. Yes there is Motels in Richfield. That puts you 45 minutes from the lake. Remember it's free and there is no pressure come join us for a day of fun. See ya there PS the pic is from last week.

Ok all you Perch Party Animals. I am hoping to draw out a bunch of youngens too. It looks like we are going to have beautiful weather. It's fairly easy access where we are going to be to the lake in a couple of spots especially the south end. It sounds like 4 wheelers are still getting around. The parking lot is easy access for cars and 2 wheel drive vehicles. So come one come all and Enjoy. See ya there.

PS I almost forgot to tell you that I will have my radio and I will be on channel 10

Sorry that we didn't stop by today, but at 1 PM, we were hunkered down due to the intense wind and didn't want to disassemble our tent or leave our gear. I hope you had a good turnout and a good time. (and didn't lose anything in the wind)

The perch were incredibly aggressive today. They were charging 10-15 ft up the water column to smack our lures intended for trout. I didn't get any world beaters today, but it was beyond easy catching sufficient good sized ones for a couple of good meals (and a long night of filleting). The trout action was reasonable, but not fast, with a good double digit day split about 50:50 bows and splakes. Some decent sized ones of both species. No pups today.
