Went to fish lake for the opener of the duck hunt and still managed to get some fishing in too, that was the plan, hehehehe.

fished on saturday from 10:00AM to 4:00PM.we fished for some perch and caught plenty on the weed line, moved out to 70FT of water, and was marking fish suspending at 40ft,used a white jig and perch meat and hoked on three small splake around 16",my dad,father-in-law,and son hooked up around the same amount, all the fish where realeased,My dad decided to try a pumpkinseed color,on the way down, the jig stoped,he reeled up the slack and his pole bent in half,my exact words was holy shnit,he reeled down to get another hook set and it was gone.ahhhhhhhhhhhh.

it was a great trip and will probably do it again next year, took some pics, hope this works.

Thanks for the report, one of these days I've got to get my boat down there and do some fishing. Did you see any deer or elk while you were there? WH2

Thanks for sharing one of my fondest places. My great grand father was a guide on Fish Lake. He took people out on those heavy wooden boats and trolled by use of oars.

F4F,We got the three you see there, first time there but we know where to set up next year.

WH2,We seen many elk coming out of there on successful hunts, some really big bulls.

And I hear you on a beutiful place to be,all the leaves had fallen already, but nothing like the crisp cold air at 8,000 ft.we will be going back next year.We stayed at Bowery Haven, and have to say they are very nice people, great food in the cafe.

Sorry I didn't get any fish pic's I left the camera in the cabin, and we realeased all the fish we caught.
