finally got back on the lake!! we first stopped at boulder harbor but the water had risen so much the deeper water was too far to cast to. so we pack it up and head to the fishing pier by hemminway no go waay too many people there. so we head down a small access road and it seems ok to fish i go to turn around and ende up digging in my rear tires in the loose gravel and dirt w/o 4WD we had to dig out and use boulders to and every bit of horse power that 350 could pump out, got out about 15 minutes later. so we park up I crack a beer unpack and head down to the water cast out near the tires with anchovie on the bottom about 10 minutes go by and fish on 2.3lb striper we chummed up the area with corn and brought the carp in I ended up with a 7.9lbr my son got a nice 10lb carp had a great afternoon on the water. we got to actually fishing about 2:30 and off the water by 5:30 check out my pix [fishon]

just a regular can of yellow corn throw a couple hand fulls out and wait for a bit they will come to the corn I even drain the corn water into the lake for more scent. and u can actually sight fish them cause they will be within a few yards of the shore.

I didn't this time but; I also make chum balls out of creamed corn, kernel corn, oatmeal, corn meal. and strawberry extract. form up small meat ball size balls and toss them out and just fish around them the carp go freakin crazy over them. [fishon]

oh it's carp time baby, i love this time of the year. I feel bad for people who think carp fishing is lame, they're missing out!!!!!
