The following report was posted by an Idaho fishing report that comes out each week:

If you missed the annual Cascade Cup you really missed out! The fishing was great and if you ask all those who participated you won't find a one that didn't have an excellent time. Brenda Anderson took the prestigious 1st Place Cup for the biggest trout with a 6 pound 3 oz. bruiser. The perch fishing was pretty good too. Matt Kueffler took the 1st Placer Cup for the three biggest perch that weighed in at just under five and a half pounds. In fact a near state record perch was caught just the week before the derby. It's just a matter of time before someone catches a new state record perch on Cascade. Successful anglers are catching their big trout and perch at numerous locations. Near Poison Creek and the Boulder Creek area and along the usual hot spots near Sugarloaf and off Crown Point.
