Gary talked me in to fishing at the last minute this week, so we decided to brave the wind and 100 other boats yesterday. Brave the wind was an understatement.

Started out slow for us as the post frontal gave them lockjaw early. Hauled water with the rig and jerks for the first couple hours. Finally picked up our first and biggest of the day in about 15' on that rig. Hauled more water for a while and moved a few times. Hit one stretch of bank and picked up 3 fish in 2 passes around noon, giving us 4 for around 14 and a half or so with 4 hrs left to fish. Little did we know it would take all 4 of those hours for us to find our 5th. We threw the boat at em, battled the 30+ winds, all to no avail until about 4:05. We were boat 109 so we blasted in the last flight, weighing in at 4:30. Gary decided to head back to the spot we caught out last 3, and as soon as we pull up I landed #5 on the rig again. It was another solid fish and gave us our limit. Knew we didnt have a chance, but we were proud of squeaking out #5 at the last minute.

We finished with 18.60 something and missed out on the top 16. Still had a good day, all things considered. Tough conditions and a very slow bite made it a little frustrating, but I had a great time. We only caught 5 fish today, with no shorts. I think we only had about 7 or 8 bites today if I'm not mistaken.

Gary, I had a blast brother and I thank you for your hospitality! Anytime you want to hook up again, I'm game. Guys, Gary runs the SE TN ABA division and puts on some great events as well. Y'all take a look at his schedule!

The CBA did another great job today, from start to finish. Hands down the best ran tournament series this area has to offer in my opinion. From blast-off to weigh-in, things always go smoothly and the weigh-ins are fun. Had a great time as usual! Congrats to all the money winners and thank you to all the CBA officers fo another well ran event.
