Still determined, I set out to catch some crappie on these blow downs! I promised myself before I left the house, no dock's......With my ziplock bag full of new made weedless 1/16 jig heads in every color I have I worked my first storm damaged tree..... Lost a few, not fish, jigs, and I became very tempted to head back in the creek to a couple of docks I knew I could find some crappie! But with that bag full of weedless jigs I decided if I had to loose everyone of those I made up it would be worth it if I conquered my inability!
I fought the wind trying to stay on this one fallen tree, I lost more jigs here.....However, mother wind knew what she was doing, she got my boat pulled out in 22 fow, and I made a cast and at 16 ct I got a huge thump....Nice 12 " black crappie (first pics)....Thank you mother wind! I was on to something here and proceeded to catch 5 more crappie.....I am grinning strong now! emoBigSmile
Ole Mother wind got up there, and I was just doing too good to head home so I trolled over to this huge branch sticking up and I hugged the branch with my rope and proceeded to just straight drop my jig down.....I must have gotten invite to a crappie wedding, one right after the other was loving my weedless jig! All keepers, all fat, and all dressed out in black tuxedos!
Thank you mother wind, you knew best, perhaps it was my dad's wind, Thanks Dad, I sure miss you! emoAngel
