Fishing Forum

I'll be coming down to Texas towards the end of month (22nd-2nd) and would like to get some input on what types of tackle to bring. I'll be in the Dallas area and have a guided trip planned of a day already. I would like to go to a few other places as well and try for some bass and possibly catfish. I live in Utah and primarily use finesse type tactics and tackle and am not sure if this would be worth taking? Any input would be appreciated.
