Hey guys,
mme1, Tunahooker, and myself hit Jordanelle yesterday morning for five hours. It was 14 degrees when we got there at 7 am and launched from the PWC ramp which was totally clear of ice and snow. Water temps were 32/33 early and 36 by 11 am. Fishing was slow. We casted to the shore for browns for awhile and never saw one. We trolled for awhile and no luck there either. Towards 11 am we started to cast by the dam while Marc (mme1) dragged a small crankbait behind the boat. Marc connected with this nice 4 lb 2 oz 22" Cutt, which was released. Shortly afterwards I caught a 18" fat cutt-bow, again on a small crank. This one went home with Marc for dinner. We fished until noon, but that was it. We ran into a DNR officer on the shore and he said that the only other fish he'd seen caught all day was a small rainbow caught by a bank tangler. HTH, Fred K
