Tried to launch today at the Pelican boat ramp but it still has ice. The main lake is open so it won't be long. Ended up launching at Bottle Hollow. They have really improved the camping amenities at bottle hollow. $25 dollars a night for full hookups. We fished all afternoon but never connected with a fish. The weather was awesome.

That's cool you got the boat on the water out in the basin. I hope more lakes will open up soon out here. One word of caution and maybe you know something I don't but the Tribal proclamation states that the boating season at Bottle Hollow is from March 31st to December 1st. I thought about taking a boat out to Midview or Bottle Hollow over the last week but the proclamation has kept me from it. I have heard that the tribal police can be quite strict.

I was checked for my boat permit and fishing license before they let me launch. She didn't say anything about the boating season. There was also another boat on the lake too. I am guessing you would be ok if you wanted to give it a try.
