What a beating a friend and I took yesterday. I got the boat out of storage and ready on friday. We launched at Lincoln Beach sat morning a little before 8am and bb'd for a little over an hour with crawler rigs. Gave up and went to the phrag line east of the launch throwing jigs in slightly warmer water. Not a single hit or follow.
Pulled the boat and re-launched at Lindon. I believe that to start your boating season right you HAVE to have at least one C&R from the boat the first day you use it to satisfy the fish gods. Dragged harnesses again at the bubbleup. Nothing. Threw cranks and jigs at the bubbleup and alot of places on the phrag line between Lindon and AF. Nothing. There was no way I was going home without a fish so dropped anchor east of AF and ate lunch. While having lunch put out a line with crawler and a line with a red-side.
Fortunately out of the corner of my eye I saw the crawler line make a tiny twitch. With all the concentration I could muster I was so careful to set the hook. Lo and behold I was able to make one C&R for the day... an 8" mudder. Before pulling the boat at 3'ish we threw jigs and cranks for the last hour in the phrag islands north of Lindon. Nothing.
My hat is off to you guys that catch the LM's at UL because I certainly can't.

I took my Boat out today all over Provo Boat Harbor South of it, North of it. In the reeds out on the Lake NOTHING. I feel your pain.

Ditto, hammered Lindon today and nada. Bubble-up, reeds, inlets, and nothing. Water temps ranged from 43 to 49. Saw a few people getting a white bass or two but we couldn't even manage that. Beautiful weather though and nice to float some soft water[cool].

fished today with my bro. just from shore. landed two white bass in the first 15 minutes but then nothing. my brother mustve had a big cat or something. hit his jig and took off and snapped it within 10 seconds. had a couple bites when we switched to night crawlers but nothing serious. left about 12.

I think everybody got schooled out there this weekend. A white bass here and there has been the word from most. I am sure some of the walleye "pro's" did alright. It feels like it is so close to going off but I bet we are still a week or two of good weather for things to start happening, but I don't know crap.

Same story here, got the boat out hit UL on saturday and nothing. The worst part was my dad told me this would happen, and yes he did say, "I told you so". Just to rub salt in the wound.

Same here, one measly white bass. When your fishin for walleye and you get a hit, you automatically think walleye, man what a disappointment. I did hear a couple of those guys catching one or two, but i'm sure they were out there most of the day anchored in the same spot.

Hit it for about 2 hours on sunday (noon to 2pm) with the kiddos (my5yr old son and cousin) - did manage to get a few casts in and had one good (assume LMB) hit me good on my spinnerbait but got a head shake outta him and lost him (no trailer hook). Other than that I did not see one fish hooked including the large number of people fishing off the marina in Lindon or with 5+ boats out in front of the bubble up anchored.
