<br /> My wife and I headed out, Started with Crappie fishing that was Fun. we met a man we now from the Forum, had nice short visit. And at least one minute after he left I had a hit on my little crappie rig that nearly pulled me of my seat. I caught something that stripped my line of very fast, I was able to get on the trolling motor and gain back some line, I fought this thing for awhile on 6lb test, we thought it might be a catfish but after awhile I knew that this thing was not a cat, when his tail came to the surface of the water... My first striper. And also the largest fish I have ever caught!!!!!Man our hearts were beating so fast. We landed it and measured it.After I made a call to Eric M. "what a smart thing to do Thank you Eric" with the measurements and Eric's formula it is 32.5 inches with 20 inch girth The fish weighs about 16.25 lbs. what a cool day!
