Since getting back from TX, had only spent a couple of hrs. on our beloved Chick. Decided I'd head upriver since I haven't been up there in awhile. Called Polo to see if he could join me for the afternoon. He met me at the ramp & we started working some flats with Red Eye shads. Mark managed a couple of slicks & a tail-hooked cat. Water had dropped almost a ft. & the fish seemed to have moved off the flats to the edge of a channel. Moved to a riprap & Mar caught 4 more with a nice 4# on a SK Series 3 crank. He catch 2 more after that before he has to head in. Now mind you, I still haven't got a fish, nada. I'm getting my butt kicked, but Polo's pretty nice & only rubs it in a little bit. I drop him off 7 head to a creek where the channel touches some rock 2ndary points. Wished I'd gone earlier. Had 4 on Red Eye shads & jig, including this 7# mama fixing to head to bed!
