I think I may be dieing, I'm feverish, my mind won't stay focused, my hands shake when I get around water and and when people talk to me my ears only hear the sound of water running. Why is it that every time I think I'm gonna get away for a day something comes up and I can't get out?

This weather ain't helping, either ...

Dedication TT that is all. Man get that 50 mph wind behind you on a nice roll cast and zzzzzinnnng.[laugh]
I couldn't take it and brave the elements.

Just be very careful doing that. Cone head buggers don't feel very good when they hit you in the back of the head at that kind of speed. Not that I would know or anything [blush]

I kinda think everyone that has picked up a fly rod (or any rod and reel) knows that, but it only takes once...LOL

Yeah, you definitely start being a little more careful after that kind of a shock [laugh]

Mine wasn't my head, but rather my thigh. Hubby almost passed out when I asked him to remove it....[:/]

That's pretty funny [laugh] Luckily I've been working in the medical field for a long time, so that doesn't bug me. I had to do an incision and drainage on an infected cuticle my wife had the other day. That was definitely less pleasant for her than me, but it worked.

I was pretty lucky in that the first time I launched a bugger at myself, it hit me in the shoulder, and just the point got me, but not the barb. Maybe ten years later I had forgotten that valuable lesson and launched one into the back of my head. It must have come head first, because it just hurt like mad, but nothing stuck in.

I have had a couple of hooks in my fingers, but they were both while handling fish. One was all the way to the bend of the hook, and straight down into the crook of my thumb. I had to get it cut out. Fun times.

I managed to put one past the barb in my breathables, luckily it didn't get through to my leg. gotta love a good wind to blow your cast back into you.
