To start with, I was paired with a great fisherman. His name was Jason Tucker. He is a guide on Lake Guntersville. We spoke in person on Friday night after the meeting. He told me that he was on some good fish and that we should have a good day. After blast off we ran up river to the first spot. Jason didn’t disappoint, my third cast I hooked up with my first and biggest fish of the day a 4.59. With in 45 minutes I had a 10 lb. limit. We hit several spots both up and down the river, where I culled 4 more times for a few ounces each time. Jason also got a 5 fish limit and culled several times. We got about 60 fish to the boat. We only had a few bites that didn’t make it to the boat. In the end Jason had enough weight to get a check, I don’t remember the weight or the amount of money. I was fortunate enough (thanks to Jason’s guiding ability) to have three fish for 11.37lbs. Which was enough to WIN and get a check for $1,351. emoDance I had a great time and can’t wait for the next one. Jason also took the time to explain why we were fishing the water that we were. If any of you would like a guided trip on Guntersville give Jason a call (256 997 7263). He can teach you and put you on fish.
