Headed up this next week and was just wondering where guys have been finding some fish.

They are there in decent numbers anywhere you want to try. Water conditions will guide the way from here on out. As long as you aren't laggin' into the choco monster you should be in good shape.

Fished all day yesterday (3/24) below Shoup and a couple holes above North Fork. I saw three hooked, two landed and I hooked and lost one. Verrrryyyyy Slooowwww. Everyone we talked to reported the same. We talked to a F&G officer who indicated that this was consistent up and down the river.

Get up towards Ellis. The Pahsimeroi Hatchery is starting to get their push of fish. I fished Thurs, Friday, and Saturday morning, and it was ok. Not red hot, but a couple dozen fish on the beach...

ellis area is where they are now gents. get it while the gett'n is good. i personally love fishing this area even if it can get a little crowded.

There are no fish at Ellis. Spent the weekend there and nothing worth making the drive for. The fish in the hatchery right now are what were holding in the river during the winter. The springers are not that far up yet. The Lemhi is about as far as the springers have made it and any where below there is wicked hot right now. If you want steelies, head down the canyon.

i fished deer gulch fish and game came by about 2pm and counted 4 fish between ellis and deer gulch from 20 anglers this was friday i landed 1 fri afternoon and 1 sat way slow

Fished between Challis and Stanley banked 5 on friday afternoon. Touched only 3 more fish sat, sun, and today. Slow fishing from ellis to stanley is what I got from everyone on the river. Lemhi is blowing mud is what a guy told me this morning that was fishing by salmon. Think it got to warm and the fish wouldnt slow down. Watched a fish on sunday that took about 30 seconds to get through the hole I was fishing. lol kinda funny watched him go into the hole and I fished it hard then I was watching to see him come out and he did before I could get my second cast. I didnt see very many fish moving either, which I think the first big push that hit sunbeam has moved on. Need cooler temps.
