Fishing Forum

Can anyone tell if fishing is good at utah lake. I mostly like to fish for catfish, bass, and I don't have a boat. So I can only fish from shore. Thank you

Utah Lake often provides excellent fishing. Other times, one would swear there are no fish to be had. Usually Late April through September the fishing is good for something.

Shore fishing tends to be best near the marinas or areas that get lots of use. The reason is that in some of the less used areas, shoreline vegetation makes it difficult to access the water.

The water is much higher now than it was four or five years ago. That has improved the water quality and made shore fishing easier.
