Fishing has been up and down for me the past week. One day good, the next not so much. Topwater, Spinnerbaits, Jerkbaits, and Spot Stickers have all produced good fish.

I've had the pleasure of enjoying some great trips lately with some of my regular clients this week. Long time clients Rick & Angie Graham spent a very memorable evening on the water with me on the 18th. We were targeting Spotted Bass and Striper and fished from 4pm-midnight throwing Spot Stickers and Jerkbaits before dark and big Spinnerbaits and Jerkbaits after dark. We boated some great fish throughout our trip but right at dark Rick was fishing a Spro McStick 110 Spooky Shad and I hear his drag screaming. It was obvious he had a white fish but 5 minutes later when I realized it was a Hybrid I knew we had a special fish. We weighed the fish on digital scales and it weighed 14.8lbs, surpassing the current lake record (13.34lbs) caught last June on my boat by Dick Neubert. Rick didn't want to kill the fish and it being so late in the evening our only option would've been to hold it to the next day to certify and we wanted to release her. Kudos to Rick for wanting to keep this fish alive, it wasn't out of the water over 2 minutes and soaked us all upon release

Here's a few other pics from the week.

Guys our Sonar/Side Imaging Seminar is next Friday, March 30th starting at 7pm at Pro Lures in Dalton.
