Hey all. So I'm getting set to fish with my cousin this week and we"d love to get into fish. We would rather shorefish than Ice. We were looking at Utah Lake but between him and I we have a total of ZERO experience there. I was hoping for some tips on where to go. Don't need a secret spot but would love to know a good spot that should produce a fish or two.

Thanks for ANY help. We are hoping for tuesday morning on the water before sunrise. Thanks!

Deer Creek [Smile] I hear Charleston is pretty hot right now, but I haven't been there myself. I usually have pretty good luck fishing by the boat ramp at the state park.

Rockport hasn't been too kind to me lately.

Good luck!

I must have gone to the wrong end. Of course, lol. [pirate] I was down by the state park, where the river flows in. Where were the fish being caught?

we saw folks catching fish in the open water heading towards the ramp, the furthest we went was the first picnic area then back down to the river. we also saw a few folks pulling out fish in the open water near the corener of the dam and along that rock wall about mid lake on the highway side. we did real well in the river as well, we were up there checking out the campground and decided to give it a go. we stopped at rafter B's to look at the tagged fish sign. its kinda screwy to read but i think a total of 4 tagged fish have been caught. there are 4 pics of folks with tagged fish. the board with the prizes on them only shows one fish caught how ever

I tried the river too, and there were a couple other people fishing it but I only saw one guy pull out a trout. Maybe I was just there on a bad day, lol. Glad it picked up [Smile]

Have a great day!

i was wearing a greenish shirt with tan vest and camo ball cap, my buddy was wearing a black hoodie. we did so so above the bridge. 4 browns, 1 whittie and 1 bow. once we got to the diversion he switched to dries and got 4 bows right in a row, all little guys. below the diversion, like directly below 2 or so feet from the spill i picked up one pretty pre spawner. a little further down i picked up 4 more bows a brown and sever white fish

Don't go to Utah Lake yet...I am sure you will be able to manage a few fish but the water temp is not high enough yet. Once the temp goes up another 10-20F it is gonna be game on for the White Bass, then the Kitties. When that water gets warm enough you can catch 5-7 species in a day. Patience my friend. TDT and I will keep you updated on the White Bass spawn...that is some of the best UL fishing..nothing like getting over 100 of them in just a few hours.
