Tried Cascade again on Saturday. This time I went to Boulder Creek because I thought getting on the ice at my usual spots wouldn't work very well. I was surprised at how well the ice was holding up at Boulder. It is deteriorating, but ice was still very good on the bottom side and over all thickness was still 28-30 inches. Perching at BC was very slow and all we got were small ones, but the trout fishing was some of the best I've had through the ice at Cascade. We pulled up 5 including a brookie. The 2 bigger rainbows were over 20 inches each. Caught them all on jigs with worms. The trout seemed to be cruising in about 17 FOW.
