Good luck. Hopefully the water isn't getting too high yet.
Either way have fun! I am looking forward to your report.

Cool, I'm curious to hear how you do. I was actually going to ask about that stretch on the other thread about the Portneuf. It definitely seems like it would be more aesthetically pleasing up there.

I actually first saw the Portneuf about five years ago when I took my wife to Lava to soak in the springs. I thought it was a very good looking river, and I figured it probably got even nicer upstream. I just haven't made it up that way to fish still. Maybe this summer I'll have to give it a try.
Well the water was great nice and clean clear all the way to the bottom. We pulled out a few nice browns a couple cutthroats and a couple bows. Mostly browns.. went with Texastransplant he took the pictures. All in all was a great day of fishing with some good company.
Didn't you say "pictures"? I don't see them......

Cool reply, DF! How did you do that?

Just search for the image you want on Google images or equivalent and then copy and paste the url into the pic box when you reply. works with any image
sorry for the tread jack [:p]

This is one I caught a few years ago between McCammon and CF. Thought I'd get some pictures in here (of fish). [

Glad you had a good day of fishing. Thanks for letting us know how you did. Pictures aren't everything that a report is about.
I will have to get out to the upper areas soon, before all of it gets mudded in.

CP is right. Pictures aren't everything. Video is also acceptable......[

Seriously, I'm also glad you had a good day. Keep the reports coming... with or without pics.

Jeremy landed a couple of decent browns--these were long and snaky but measured in the upper teens.

Aside from one nice cuttbow and a foul-hooked brown, we were catching only dinks the first couple of hours that we fished, so that made these two browns seem even larger. Both were jumpers.
