Arrived at DC at 3:30. I only trolled about 100 feet when I had my first strike. I had a another bite 50 feet further and was able to bring it in. I started to think to myself, "This is going to be an amazing fishing trip." It didn't work out so well. I continued to get bites for the next couple of hours but had a hard time getting them to the boat. When I left at 6 I only landed 4 fish and missed over 13.

When I was at DC last Thursday I could find fish about 50 yards from the shore line. Today I had a hard time even finding the fish on the fish finder. The water temp had dropped to 39.5 degrees. The most fish I saw on the finder was 50 yards from the loading ramp when I was coming to load the boat. I stopped for 10 minutes and casted a gold Jakes lure but didn't get one bite. Even though I saw multiple schools of fish right under me. Oh well. It was great being out. I watched over 60 deer on the side of mountain graze while I was trolling. It was amazing. (I really need to bring my camera.)

The guys I talked to on the shore line all said it was slow today.

Good luck everyone.

Only 4 fish...man that sucks...were you using that CD 5 Rainbow Rapala? Try moving up to the inlet in that Wallsburg Arm. Glad to see you got your trailer back...hope those tow truck drivers/repair men did not reem you for what you are worth. Kinda glad we went to that top secret location yesterday insted of going to DC with ya...at the same time maybe we are the fish attractors for your boat. This summer we got to hit East Canyon....I got tons of bass spots that I think you are gonna like. Thanks for your post....and start carrying that dam camera!
