I've gotten to the point that I can catch lots of white bass and cats at UL and the occasional walleye, perch, and bluegill. These have all been from shore, but I have a new float tube that will hopefully give me a little more mobility.

I've fished for LMB in a couple of ponds in colorado, the sevier river/Gunnison bend/DMAD and have had some success there in the past, along with Salem pond more recently, but I only occasionally catch a green trout (how'd it get that name anyway?) at UL. The biggest I've caught have actually been very good size, two between 4 & 5 lbs on subsequent casts off an exposed rock pile when the water was really low and you could still walk in north of lincoln beach.

There's lots of good looking vegetation south-east of the state park at Lincoln beach that should be good to fish.

Anyone have any guidance on LMB on Utah Lake? I'd love to get a bass boat and be able to have a little better view, but I'll have to use what I got.

Thanks,
Matt

the only advise: fish and fish and fish and try and try and try.
UL bros that fish lmb keep it tight lipped with good reason.

good luck,

I don't typically target largemouth bass on Utah Lake. There seems to be a decent population there and most of the ones I have caught have been caught several times. I've caught them on 1/32 oz. crappie jigs and larger tube jigs. I've caught them on a worm while fishing for cats. The more serious LMB anglers down there fish heavier gear so they can fish big jigs in cover. Spinner baits, jig 'n pig, and crank baits are what I see most of those dudes using...and they do catch fish. I've caught more bucketmouths fishing for crappie than I have fishing for bucketmouths. Weird, huh.
