Conditions: Conservation Officer Devin Christensen reports that the edges at Scofield are too soft to convey a fisherman on or off the ice pack safely.

does this mean ice off not to far off or who has been up there latley?

I drove up there today to check on the ice. I didn't see anyone out on the ice. I only checked the north side, from the dam to Aspen Cove. Where the creek comes in at Frandsen Bay, the water is open for about 100 yards. There were several places on the east shore line by the highway and cabins that had about 10 yds of open water. The open water was only in the very shallows. Nothing was open by the state park or the dam.

Ice fishing is probably done? I did hear that they were still ice fishing at soldier creek on Saturday......
