the edges have opened up a TON. i doubt you could get a boat out... well you could but you can only got a few hundred yards off the shore.. you can def get a float tube/toon out i think ice fishing is over unless you want to take a raft out

did you notice the date of my post?
but in all seriousness i have only heard (not found out myself) that the edges are starting to soften and you will likely need a plank to get on. there is a small patch of open water in front of the ladders thats likely getting bigger everyday. i guess you could put a tube/toon on it but im pretty sure if you do you want to be the first one there in the morning when you do it otherwise you will be nailed by folks casting

Friday besides the ladders the ice was just starting to recede a little in a few places. I could only get up there during the middle of the day. No one was catching fish while I was there. Walking up around the ladders to the east side I saw a total of 3 smallish fish in the ladders. You could get a float tube or yak in at the ladders but nowhere else that I saw. Maybe the wind on the weekend helped accelerate things but you haven't missed ice off yet.

There was probable 200 yards of open water extending from the ladders on Friday. So certainly enough room not to get nailed by people casting.

There is a little water in chicken creek east and west, both too shallow still. Soldier creek in locked up but the Ice in some places looks more like slush than ice. Lots of people fishing the channel at the ladders. Heard rumors rennegade had open water but didn't drive out to see. I'm betting mid week next week or next weekend should be the day
