Got a PM from Spikestr who wanted to meet me at Little Dell for an hour or 2 of fishing. TDT and I showed up and met him in the ample sized parking lot. The wind was HOWLING harder than it typically does. This combined with a dry cold front and a full moon...I knew that the catching rates would suffer a bit. Still despite the harsh conditions...Little Dell was still a litltle slice of heaven. While walking down to the lake Spikestr asked what Junior High School we went to....once we revealed the location we found out that he was one of the math teachers at our old school! Too bad all we knew of him was some short hallway appearnces...probley when we were late to class or sluffing in the hallways[]. He claimed to not know us...which is odd considering that we had spikey hair back then too.

Started at the chocolated colored inlet and within 3 casts with the gold Kastmaster I had a cutthroat on. Snapped a picture and threw him back. The wind and waves were relentless so we moved out into deeper water. That is when Spikestr got into a fish on a Panther Martin gold blade, black and yellow body spinner. The wind died down and the temps dropped. I was able to manage few more fish on a gold Jakes as well as the Baby Carp Strike King Red Eyed Shad. We ended up calling it a day due some time constraints. In the end I got 4 fish and Spikestr got the one...poor TDT spent too much time blabbin insted of fishing so he did not get any. That can happen when good company is present.

No the gate is not open...won't be till Memorial Day...then starts the $5 fee. Forgot to mention that I had several cutts take that crawdad jig...even had a few take a swipe at it right next to shore. Never got any of them in...one of the fish actually swam forward with it so I kept reeling in thinking I lost it...I shoulda set the hook! Most the fish caught were hanging very close to shore...wish they would start filling up the reservoir insted of dropping it.

I used to have a hair style much like the one you depicted in the film....Now I have to keep it short...so really the spikes are making the best out of a bad situation.

Not sure...but I have heard of Sculpin in there....without bait is hard to know for sure if there are crawdads...the color I choose to throw is pumpkin pepper...which is my go to for ice fishing. That is why I bought the jig in the 1st place...can not wait to throw it at some bass!

I wonder if that would be consdered spear head fishing or gaffing....BTW gaffing is illegal. Oh yea and I should mention that people on here look down apon spearfisherman. One of these days we should go fishing together.
