I've been researching Lower Bells, and it looks like a great place to fish. Lots of nice Bonneville cutthroats that are easy to catch. I have been thinking about doing a trip.

The Twins have been doing great there. 100s of cutts have been caught. Anyone else have some more info on the place?

It is a small hike in and artificial flies and lures, as well as catch and release.

I know that the Twins don't mind posting about Lower Bells even though it is small, because they said so in another forum. Well, here is what they said when some others objected about such a small place:

Why? The place is C&R and artificial flys and lures afterall. I doubt the majority of anglers would wanna hike anyway, although yes there are a few that would be willing.

What are you guys afraid there would be "other people" fishing there when you go up there or something?

Gotta agree with TyeDye here...what's the big deal? Do you really think 3,000 people are gonna head there this weekend? Sorry but I believe that this thread is not worthy of the confindential section. Even if I did put it in the confidential section it woulda ended up on BFT anyway...where it would get way more views than this site. By the sounds of your complaints it sounds to me like we finally stumbled upon some "quality" fisheries. Hey....these places are Catch and Release, no bait allowed locations, so I am sure the fish are still swimming around for you and the rest of us to catch.
When all the Largemouth Bass and Smallmouth Bass in Utah are gone....you can blame me.

What the hell is your big problem Cpierce? The mods should ban people like you for out right breaking the forum rules. You have so many posts on here that you should know better than to do something like this. You not only hottspotted a recent post, but you also dragged on posts from a different website as well as used MY PHOTOS WITHOUT PREMISSION!

I agree, that is pretty scary. Small body of water, or a small parking lot. Even if they are public waters, not everybody knows about them and that is good, right?

But ly, post enough about it and someone will figure it out. I must be pretty slow, cause it took a bunch of pm's to me before I knew this was the secret spot.

But if you go to search, type in Lower Bells, then type in TyeDyeTwins in name...BINGO, there is this report with pictures. YOU tied the 100 fish and the other report to the name, not C.

This down right sucks! I have been going here for 8 years! This place is too fragile, and too small for any type of pressure. I don't go because fishing is great, because 90% of the time it downright sucks. But rather to get exersize and enjoy the cool breeze.

Good thing officer friendly regulars this place to give poaching tickets. If you plan to hit this spot to keep fish be prepared for a ticket! This is artificial only, and to be honest most of the fish are too small to justify a meal. So stay away!

I personally have turned in 5 different people for using bait or poaching so be WARNED lurkers. I have met several regulars and I just put the feelers out there to get them to police this tiny pond heavy the next few weeks.
