Hell's Bay Boatworks and Tibor Reels just announced the tragic death of Jose Wejebe in a small plane crash in Florida.

I've been a fan of the Spanish Fly for decades and I still can't believe it.

We lost one of the great ones today.

What a shame. I enjoyed watching his show.

This is terrible news, I've watched his shows my whole life. Though I never fished with or met him, the information I learned and fun I had watching him will never be forgotten. The world has lost a truly great fisherman.

He was a great fisherman and, more importantly, a great guy and ambasSador the sport of fishing.

What a tragedy he surely will be missed . [:/]

He was not as well known as Dance, Houston, Lindner etc... but he was one of the greatest ambasSadors of fishing, no doubt.

Lest we forget, he was on his way to a fishing hole.
