I went out a couple times over the last week to find some of those swimming kitties. I wasn't sure what to expect since the last few times before that with lavaman, 12inchlunker, and CoyoteSpinner didn't produce any of them over about 14 inches.

Last Saturday I decided to fight a slight breeze in the afternoon in order to try to catch a couple. Well, the wind allowed me to fish without any issues and I landed on really nice one (24-25 inches and 8.5 lbs). See first two pics. Before I landed that one, I caught two little ones around 14 inches. (Second two pics.)

Went back out Wednesday afternoon/evening after a hectic start of the week at school. Started out really nice(fifth pic). Fished for about an hour and landed two nice kitties - the first around 24 inches and 5.75 pounds (6-7 pics) and another right at 5 lbs (didn't get a good measurement, see 8-9 pics).

Coyote Spinner linked up with me, and I also went back to the launch to pick up lavaman. I managed one more that was right at 3 pounds (last pic). After I managed to reel in that one, everything slowed down but the wind. It started going nuts, and made for a fun trip back to the launch in my little Coleman Crawdad.

Great pics! I think those Channels are about my fav species to catch.

btw, I hear there's a party at Little Dell. We should grab 12inchlunker and Yote and hit 'er hard!

Nice fish bama, me and GotBait went out Wednesday afternoon, got about 30 minutes of fishing in before the wind started blowing. That was some serious white caps the wind was creating, i bet it was interesting in your little boat.

Not Little Dell it's Lower Bells...LOL
That there is some nice kats fella

haha Figured they were one in the same- little cutts that my 9 yr old daughter could catch no problem.

LMAO But your daughter is not the norm when it comes to fishing I bet. Kids learn so fast.
I guess, the Lower Bells is the spot for big numbers of fish.

That wind sucked!! Just ask lavaman about the boat ride back. Let's just say I emptied some water out of the boat when I got home. [Tongue]

Some fun 'adventures' no doubt. You da man with the kitty touch! Hit it tuesday/wednesday - think we're still on the cusp. That wind/waves Wed was pretty insane. When you suggested we head north, then didn't follow as I battled those waves and whitecaps - yeah - got pretty wet! At least able to "surf" the way back. There was a bit of water that jumped into the boat no doubt!

Wish we had like 1ft more depth, and LESS WIND! Amazing what a large shallow body of water can put together in no time flat!

So Monster- where'd you guys launch from? Sure would be nice to have a calm enough day to go cover some territory!

Amen to that! Gonna head out tomorrow somewhere sometime.

We didn't launch the boat just fished from the bank. Its been far too windy this spring for me to take the boat out yet. Also I have had very little luck at cutler from the boat for bass, walleye, or crappies. Although it does seem to help for the channel cats I will say that.
