About a year ago, I bought a Ready 2 Fish Spinning Combo and Kit from Walmart. I thought that I would want to try it out because I have only been using spincast reels. Anyways, I tried it and about 3/4 of the time fishing, I spent it untangling the mess. I would cast it out, and let it sit. Then reel it in. If I open the bail but accidentally miss the line, then it just jumps off everywhere and it becomes one huge knot. I'm thinking of getting rid of the line, and adding some Green-tinted Fluorocarbon 10lb line on it. Would this solve my problem or should I just get a different reel altogether?
This first spinning reel has messed up my image of spinning reels, but I want to try again because I like the style of it. Anyways, would it be fine for me to spool the new line (if I should get it) on by myself? I remember reading that some fishing stores have machines to spool it on more evenly?

Sounds like the line to me as well. Throw it out and get a quality line.
Sometimes when I over fill the spool that will happen as well, till I trim it down. But if you used what they gave you in the combo, thats your problem.

Happy Easter..I'm in miami too,maybe I can meet you and see.Stick with mono,or 10 lb power pro,the floro,wont cast very far,its used more as a leader.
If the line is not going on evenly,stop 3/4 way,and fill the rest by hand after removing the spool.Also,after you remove the spool,you should see a spacer on the shaft the spool goes on.By removing or adding a spacer,this will change the amount of line build up to either side of the spool.
By adding another spacer it will add more line to the bottom of the spool,and vise versa,sometimes I use the spacers from older reels or mod my own.Sometimes I get a small washer and squeez it to make the hole smaller so it stays on the shaft without slidding down,it should catch on a high spot on the shaft were the the original spacer is.Return it to wallmart,you should have 15 days to return it.Weird that happened to you,I never heard of this from wallmart.I have lots of rods from there.
I'll even try to beat guys here from big fish this year with a wallmart rod,maybe pick up a new sponsor,"wallmart"

I mainly fish for trout using spinners and just powerbait sometimes. Which combination should I use for what I'm using it for? And also bass sometimes.
Also should I use braided line?

the 6/160 is six pound test line with a capasidy of 160 yards.
fishing for trout and pan fish, that should be plenty.
go with the silver thread n-40, get rid of any line that is placed on the spool from the manufacture.. they put on the cheepest line they can get their hands on.....

Braided line is a good choice. I use braided line on my baitcasters because backlashes seem to not be as bad when they happen as mono. But, braided line doesnt stretch, or have memory so it wont curl up around the spool like mono. and personally, i dont use a leader line when using braid, and i still catch fish. But, you can try attaching a leader of flurocarbon to your braid by tying them together yourself or using a swivel.
