Wife and I hit the lower Weber on the date posted. Although the winds, cold and snow was out, the fishing was hot in the afternoon. We scouted most of the morning, because we have never fished the lower. If anyone has any advice and location we can enter the stream we would be thankful.
We decided the day would be a Rapala day and we would live and die by such. We entered the stream at exit 115 and started at the bridge. The water was clear and low. The first three cast nailed three nice 15inchers. Moving up-stream I hooked into a monster Rainbow, but lost it in the current.
As the day went on (around 3pm and the sun come out the bite died, although they still were casing, they just would not hit. We had 10 fish by this point and broke for some food. We come back to the same section at 4:30pm and the bite started again around five. Our day ended with 14 fish all browns but one which was a cutt and many lost...I did hook my wife as well after a nice fish spit the hook.. The water level dropped big time in the late evening so we ended early around 7pm..
