Jordan River - I had heard that the Jordan by the pumphouse was good so my twin and I and the dog were determined to get a few white bass for the beer batter fry. We fished by the RC plane park. Some people enjoy the sight of a beaver in a pristine river. Well today at the jordan we saw a few big rats swimming in the water!
I lost one fish, had several missed bites, and landed 1 black bulhead catfish. I caught mine using a 1oz. egg weight and a worm on the bottom. My twin tried cranks and spinners with no love as well as my rig. Even raw chicken breast didn't work! We bailed by 5pm and headed to Pelican harbor. It should be mentioned there were lots of happy anglers with cats and whities. Early bite was key today!

Utah Lake - We tried our luck there with all the previously mentioned rigs but once again no love. In fact nobody at that marina landed a fish. Apparently yesterday was hot there, which might have explained the crowds. We needed to get a screw for my ice auger for tomorrows big trip so we left within an hour.

I noticed they put in some fire grates on the dikes at Saratoga. They must be tired of the fires that anglers put up at night there...get ready..someone is gonna put a carp in there and I know it.

Can't wait for that white bass spawn to start....that is when Saratoga goes from slow to off the hook. From the looks today...it is gonna be another month.
