Sorry for the late post but I have had the flu and just now getting over it. Kayley wanted to go fishing for a couple hours before dark last Tuesday night so we decided to head towards lake site. I have never really fished this area but decided to give it a shot. We didn&#39;t take the boat just decided to fish from the bank. The first 30 minutes went by without a bite emoBang then they decided they wanted to play. emoSmile First two crappie were nice and black about 12 to 12 1/2 inches. As the sun was starting to go down I casted as far as I could and as soon as the jig hit the water my float went under and I set the hook, the fish came straight out of the water and I just assumed it was a descent bass so I handed Kayley the rod and told her to reel it in because it was a nice one. After a couple of minutes and the fish getting about ten to fifteen foot away she hollar Mike its not a bass but a big crappie. And me being me said yea right. lol Little did I know she was right 15 3/4 in 2.7lbs. black crappie. I don&#39;t know who was more excited me or her. She wanted to take it home and show her mom what she had caught so we filled a cooler full of water and took it home for a pic. She told her mom it was a team effort but she really did all the work. She said she wanted to keep it and have it put on the wall so I just took measurement and explained to her that we needed to release the fish and have a replica made and she agreed. We ended up with 11 keepers and 8 throwbacks. All were caught on a 1/16 bg outlaw fishing about 3 1/2 ft under a float.<br />
