Ok...so after going through 4 different Humminbird units and having massive issues I bought the Lowrance elite 5 unit...amazing piece but still having occasional issues with this unit too...does anyone know someone who is a FF specialist who can help me figure out whats going on here?

What exactly is your issue? I have a Humminbird and was getting frustrated with inteference, noise and false depth readings while running my kicker and TR1. But then we changed the frequency from 400 khz to 800 and now it works like a champ. Very clear, accurate depths and picks up all the little feesh!
If that didnt work, my next step based on research was to dedicate a seperate battery to the FF.
